What does Al-Baṣīr mean?
The One whose vision encompasses all things. He sees the hidden and the manifest, the vast and the microscopic, with perfect clarity, regardless of light or distance, and without the need for physical eyes.
How can I call upon Allah with Al-Baṣīr in dua?
Invoke 'Ya Al-Baṣīr' to seek clarity of vision (both physical and spiritual), to ask for guidance in making correct choices, and to find solace in the fact that He sees one's silent struggles.
Reflection
Knowing that Allah is watching over us creates a sense of accountability and peace. It encourages us to act with excellence (Ihsan) even when alone, knowing that our good deeds and patient endurances are never lost.
