What does Al-Bāqī mean?
Al-Baqi is the Everlasting. While everything in the universe is transient and subject to decay, Allah remains. He is the permanent reality beyond the flow of time.
How can I call upon Allah with Al-Bāqī in dua?
Invoke to find stability in a changing world and to ask for one's good deeds to be accepted and made 'everlasting' in the afterlife.
Reflection
Reflection on Al-Baqi provides a sense of detachment (Zuhd). It humbles the ego by reminding us that our physical lives are brief whispers compared to His eternity.
